Programs
Workforce readiness training and development
Goal and Rationale: The “Workforce Readiness” program aims to equip individuals with disabilities with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to secure and maintain meaningful employment. While assistive technologies and inclusive workplaces are essential, individuals often require specialized training and support to navigate the job market and succeed in their careers.
Grassroots Approach: The program will begin with an in-depth needs assessment to identify the specific skills and knowledge gaps faced by individuals with disabilities in different sectors and regions. Customized training programs will then be designed, focusing on both hard and soft skills, incorporating assistive technologies, and utilizing adaptive learning strategies.
Monitoring and Evaluation: The program’s impact will be measured by tracking the number of individuals trained, job placement rates, career advancement, employer satisfaction, and reduction in turnover for employees with disabilities. The long-term impact of training on income levels, quality of life, and community participation for individuals with disabilities will be assessed. Success will be indicated by a measurable increase in employment rates, improved job retention, and greater representation of people with disabilities in diverse industries and roles.
